When a child is sick, most parents would stop them from going to school. But why didn't Cecilia Cheung do that for her son Quintus?

Recently, the 46-year-old Hong Kong actress shared on InstaStories herself driving the 16-year-old to school.

"My heart aches. He had a fever yesterday and has been having the chills. He's suffering but still has to go to school," said Cecilia.

Quintus, who is Cecilia's son with ex-husband Nicholas Tse, was also seen sitting on the front passenger seat, looking visibly weak and unwell.

Cecilia then reminded her son to not tough it out.

"If you’re feeling very unwell, you need to go to the sick room, and get the nurse to call me, okay?" she said before letting out a loud sigh.

But why didn't she just get him an MC?

"We don't have a choice. The principal requires them to attend as much as possible," explained Cecilia. "It's really tough being a kid now."

All she could do is to still send him to school, but remind him to inform her once he feels too unfit to go on.

"I saw him shivering yesterday, but he still had to wake up early today [for school]," she lamented.

"No wonder he didn't let me turn on the air-con [in the car] when I sent him to school yesterday."

According to reports, Quintus is currently studying at the International Christian School (ICS). His elder brother, Lucas, aka Cecilia and Nicholas' first son, used to study there too.

The school, which follows an American-style curriculum, is known for its rigorous school culture and emphasis on holistic development.

It has also been reported that the school’s annual tuition fees for high school students are approximately HK$212,500 (around S$34,300), making it one of Hong Kong’s most prestigious and high-end international schools.
