Hongkong star Cecilia Cheung’s fashion boutique, SeeCeciStreet, has become the latest business casualty of COVID-19.

According to reports, the 39-year-old’s shop will be closed indefinitely, or at least until the epidemic dies down.

The news comes shortly after it was revealed that her ex-husband, Nicholas Tse, had closed all brick and mortar shops of his cookie business, Chef Nic’s Cookies. One of Nic’s outlets is said to be located some 100m from Ceci’s shop.

When reporters visited Ceci's boutique, they were surprised to see that there were still people working inside. When they reached out to Ceci’s manager, Emily, she confirmed that the store located in central Hongkong had been closed since Chinese New Year, and that the staff had only returned to do some cleaning up.

Unlike many of the businesses affected by the outbreak, Emily clarified that none of their staff were forced to take unpaid leave.
