Cecilia Cheung’s HK Boutique Reportedly Making 5-Figure Losses Each Month Due To Covid-19
Despite haemorrhaging money, the kind boss did not cut staff salaries when she shut the store temporarily earlier this month.
Hongkong is facing an unpresented surge in Covid-19 cases and like many businesses, Cecilia Cheung has been struggling to keep her fashion boutique, SeeCeciStreet, afloat.
For the safety of her staff, Ceci, 41, shut her streetwear store in Central for nine days earlier this month. The boutique reopened for business today (Mar 10).
It was business as usual for her online store during the nine-day closure, and the actress did not cut staff salaries.

According to reports, the boutique, which opened in September 2019, has been suffering “losses of nearly six figures” each month, which works out to be at least S$17.4K.
The rent for the 4,500 sq ft space is said to be around HK$50,000 (S$8.7K).
This is not the first time Ceci has had to suspend business due to the pandemic.
She reportedly lost “hundreds of thousands” in revenue when she closed the boutique for a month in January 2020.
