Cecilia Cheung, 40, Doesn’t Mind Being Called "Old" And "Passé"

Despite the pandemic, Cecilia, 40, continues to be a highly sought-after star for performances and commercials and she reportedly made a staggering S$5.2mil for a few days of work last December.
But that hasn’t stopped her detractors from calling her “passé” and “old”, which is surpising since Ceci is also known for her youthful beauty.
Bring it on
Not that Ceci minds being called those names.
In fact, she reads them with relish.
In a recent episode of popular Chinese reality competition Sister Who Make Waves 2, Ceci shared with her fellow contestants that she feels “very happy” when she reads such comments.
"A lot people will say, 'She is passé or old’, but I feel very happy reading this. You say I'm passé, that means I was once in demand. So I think people should work hard. Be yourself when the time is wrong, and seize opportunities when the time is right," she said.
She’s not lacking in the self-confidence department too
When asked if she ever doubts herself, Ceci replied firmly: “I will never doubt myself. In this line of work, without confidence, it doesn't matter how hard you work, or how brilliant and beautiful you are, it’s no use."
