Carol Cheng, 66, Shows How Fit She Is By Keeping Up With Viral Japanese Dance Group Avantgardey’s Moves

Who knew Hong Kong actress Carol Cheng could groove like that?

The 66-year-old posted a video of herself on Thursday (June 13) busting moves with six members of Japanese dance group Avantgardey for her YouTube channel.

If you ask us, it is no mean feat to keep twisting your body to the fast beat, and did we spot Carol showing off a toned midriff halfway through the dance?

Carol revealed on Instagram that she had rehearsed the dance for a few days and while her “talent is limited”, she did her best and hoped she had not "embarrassed anyone".

During an interview, she asked the group's head choreographer Akane if there was a chance for her to join Avantgardey.

“If you don’t think I’m too old?” said Carol to which Akane replied, “Okay!”

Netizens were floored by then video with many taking to the comments to praise Carol.

“You are so cute!” gushed a netizen.

Avantgardey is a 17 (previously 20)-member dance group that first appeared on America’s Got Talent in 2022. They are known for their signature bobs, school uniform outfits, and unique choreography.

The dance group made it all the way to the finals, winning the public vote.

Six of the members are currently in Hong Kong to promote Shall We Dance Live and even have their own pop-up store selling merchandise till June 23.

The group is also set to headline a show at the upcoming Asia-World Expo on July 21.
