58-Yr-Old Wife Of HK Actor Brian Wong Is Pregnant

This has to be a medical marvel right?

Hong Kong actor Brian Wong Chak Fung, 58, and his wife, fashion designer Chen Li Li, also 58, first surprised everyone in 2019 when Li Li gave birth to their first kid, a daughter, at 52. 

Well, they just one-upped themselves.

On May 5, the couple announced that they're expecting a second child. News of Li Li conceiving at 58 immediately made headlines, leaving many shocked.

According to The International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, a woman is considered to be of advanced maternal age once she reaches 35.

Basically Li Li already went through a high-risk pregnancy once in 2019, and is beating the odds at conceiving again at 58 — women, on average, go through menopause from the ages of 45 to 55.

During an appearance on a reality show last year, Brian revealed that during Li Li's first pregnancy, she had experienced pre-eclampsia complications, causing her to become unconscious, nearly suffering a stroke.

Her condition was critical, and she had to undergo three hours of emergency surgery.

Li Li’s due date is expected to be in early September, and according to reports, the family of three are all looking forward to welcoming another little girl.
