Blackpink’s Jisoo, A Former Samsung Ambassador, Gets Called A “Traitor” After Flaunting Her New iPhone

These days, it seems that a celeb can easily be labelled a “traitor” for all sorts of things, from sending masks to another country amidst a shortage to posting an Instagram Story with gifs of dancing characters.

Even one’s choice of gadget has been known to cause trouble:

Earlier this year, Chinese actor and national hero Wu Jing got into hot soup when he was found to be sharing his Weibo posts with an iPhone instead of a Chinese brand like Huawei.

And now, the same thing is happening over in South Korea to Jisoo, one-fourth of the massively popular girl group Blackpink, and it’s all ‘cos of this post:

Last Sunday (Oct 10), the 26-year-old K-pop star took to Instagram to casually show off her “new phone”, which is the latest iPhone model, as well as its “cute case”.

If you thought her worst ‘crime’ — at least among some Korean netizens — was subtly flaunting her expensive new toy (nothing wrong with that, by the way), think again.
