As a member of Korea's top girl group Blackpink, we're not surprised that Jennie Kim is raking in the dough.

But to pay for her 5bil won (S$5.2mil) villa in Korea in cash?

Recently, reports claimed that Jennie, 27, had bought a 936 sq ft 2-storey 5-room villa in UN Village's La Terrace Hannam.

The mansion is located in Seoul's Hannam-dong, an upmarket district that many politicians and celebrities call home. It has also been described as the Beverly Hills of Seoul.

The secluded area is also surrounded by the Namsan mountain and the Han river, which apparently is good fengshui.

According to reports, the star bought the house in 2021. At that time, Jennie paid the 10 per cent deposit, which was 500mil won (S$519K).

In July this year, she paid off the remaining 4.5bil won (S$4.67mil) in cash before moving into the house and is now neighbours with celebs like K-pop star Kang Daniel, EXO member Byun Baek Hyun, actresses Shin Min A and Kim Tae-hee.
