In the '80s and '90s, there was a surge in martial arts films in Hong Kong, propelling many action stars to fame.

Among them was Hong Kong-Canadian actor Billy Chow (周比利).

Though he did not achieve the same level of popularity as Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Donnie Yen, Billy stood out for his skills.

A former world kickboxing champ, Billy, who is best known for portraying villains in some of Hong Kong’s biggest martial arts flicks like Fist of Legend (1994) and Tai Chi Boxer (1996), is said to have broken Jet's arm.

He retreated from the limelight at the age of 48 and his last film was 2006’s Dragon in Fury.

Last week, a netizen took to a Taiwanese online forum to share some recent snaps of Billy, now 65, posing shirtless, as well as stills from his past movies.

Praising him for his ripped bod, the netizen wrote: “Apart from the fact that his face has aged so much that he's unrecognisable, his physique is an absolute killer! If you covered his face and told me he's 20 years old, I'd believe you... Isn't this unbelievable?"

Many fans couldn't help but agree, dishing compliments like "Aren't those muscles usually seen on swimmers?" and “His back muscles are really impressive".

In fact, we think apart from a few more tattoos on the arms and looking less tanned, Billy now looks hardly any different the throwback shots of him in his 20s.
