On Thursday (May 20), Hongkong actor Anthony Wong, who is now in Taiwan to shoot reality show Friends By Food Truck 2, took to Facebook to share that he has seen many of such stubborn people in the news.
Anthony then called them “barbarians”, adding that they also lash out at anyone who advise them to mask up.
He noted that their reasons for not masking up are similar. “[They would ask] Am I sick? Are you a doctor?" he said.
"I really don't understand, is it really that difficult to wear a mask? It's not that you are sick, but it is to prevent others from spreading [the virus] to you, and [because] you think you are not sick [you might in turn] pass it on to others,” Anthony wrote.
“Wearing a mask is every citizen’s responsibility. [Judging by] Such a strong reaction, even if they do not have an infectious disease, it is most likely they have a mental disorder?”
He continued: “As for whether the person who gives the advice is a doctor, it is even more irrelevant. This is called common sense and civic responsibility. What’s more, it is against the law to not wear a mask.”
