Annie Yi Says Her Husband Picked Her Over 6 Girls Who Asked For His Number On The Night They Met
Not a case of eeny, meeny, miny, mo

When it comes to meet cute stories, Taiwanese singer-actress Annie Yi’s tale about how she met her husband Chinese actor Qin Hao sounds most like the plot of an idol drama.
The 52-year-old has been giving viewers a rare insight into her private life through reality show My Dearest Ladies, which she stars in with her husband Qin Hao and his mother. In a recent episode, she recounted how her love story with Qin Hao started.

According to Annie, they were introduced by a mutual friend at an event. While sitting around the same table, six other girls flocked towards the actor and asked for his WeChat ID. “I was just sitting there while they were adding each other. He said to me, ‘I’ll add you [to my friends list] too’. I agreed and we exchanged contacts.”
He ignored her for the rest of the night, and Annie described his attitude towards her as “aloof and distant”. Little did she know that Qin Hao was a fan of hers when he was growing up, and that he hid the excitement of meeting his childhood idol really well.

Days after the event, Qin Hao texted her to ask her out. “I thought he sent the same message to all seven women he met that night. I asked the others if they received a message from him, but everyone said no.”
The rest, as they say, is history. The couple dated for a little over a year before getting engaged in July 2014. They tied the knot in March 2015 and welcomed their daughter Milly in June 2016. Their relationship raised eyebrows initially because Annie is a decade older than Qin Hao.
Annie was married to Harlem Yu for nine years before filing for divorce in 2009. They have a son, 18-year-old Harrison, together.
