Taiwanese singer Angela Chang, 42, just can’t catch a break lately.

Earlier this year, she was slammed for her pitchy performance at a countdown show, and then accused of defecating on stage during a China concert.

Recently, a video of one of her commercial performances in Jiangsu caused quite a stir online – and not in a good way.

The clip shows Angela, dressed in a floral two-piece, performing her classic hits.

But what shocked many was the less-than-flattering backdrop.

The stage appeared to be just by the restroom entrance and when Angela walked around to interact with the audience, a huge toilet sign could be seen in the background.

Fans questioned why she took on such "low class" gigs that "bring down her status".

There were comments such as "Can her manager arrange more reliable gigs?", "The venue is so low class, this fan is heartbroken", and "This looks more like a show in the rural area".

One mean netizen even mocked Angela for "looking like a toilet usher".

However, according to some reports, the stage isn’t all that near the restroom and that it was the angle of the video that made it seem like she was performing at the toilet entrance.

Here's another angle of the stage.
