Andy Lau’s Daughter Looks So Grown Up Now

This time, instead of a bevy of bodyguards (though we did spot one), Hannah was accompanied by her mum, Carol Chu, as well as her cousin and aunt. In case you don’t know, this aunt happens to be Carol’s sister whose wedding Andy had showed up for (and even sang a song at) in 2008. Back then, the Heavenly King had not admitted to his relationship with Carol so his appearance at the wedding in Malaysia had created a stir around Asia. It was also seen as one of the first few times Andy had publicly acknowledged Carol’s presence in his life.

Andy is in the midst of a highly-anticipated (right, Charlene Choi?) 20-night concert tour at the Hongkong Coliseum but midway through his show on Friday (Dec 28) the 57-year-old superstar broke down in tears while announcing that he had to cancel the performance and three subsequent shows due to a throat infection. “The doctor said I shouldn't sing any more, but I really can't bear to let go,” he apologised to his fans, his face filled with remorse. “I don't want everyone to keep listening to this voice of mine and I'll have to stop after this.”

Andy also bowed to his disappointed fans in apology. But it’s not like they were angry as they shouted cheers of encouragement to the singer as he left the stage. The My Love Andy Lau World Tour is the star’s first concert tour in eight years and his first big arena performance after suffering injuries from falling off a horse last year. He is expected to travel to China after he completes his Hongkong leg.

But it's not all bad news. Carol and Hannah were said to have been at every one of Andy’s recent concerts and were seen cheering the singer on when he made the sad announcement. It’s said this is the first time mother and daughter were seen together at one of Andy's gigs. So… achievement unlocked!
