Andy Lau Reportedly Set To Receive S$7mil Insurance Payout

At least his hefty medical fees will be covered.

Andy Lau made headlines last week when he fell off a horse while filming a commercial in Thailand. His injuries require a two-month stay in hospital, followed by up to nine months of rehabilitation. There's no doubt that his medical bills are going to be hefty. Luckily (if we can put it that way) for Andy, his insurer is expected to pay him about HK$38mil (S$7mil) for the accident. The sum covers Andy’s reported hospitalisation bills, which includes his $2,700-a-day hospital suite and treatment fees that add up to a pricey $548,000. His life and accident insurance policy, which the advertising company had bought for him, is worth a reported $70mil. It covers his medical expenses as well as his loss of income from being unable to work for the next few months.

Hey, being a Heavenly King is expensive, okay?
