Earlier this year, Cantopop star Sammi Cheng’s husband Andy Hui was embroiled in the cheating scandal of the year with 30-year-old actress Jacqueline Wong, when a video of them canoodling at the back of a taxi made its rounds on the internet.
Andy, 51, scrambled to make a public apology at a press conference, seeking Sammi’s forgiveness. The latter eventually forgave her husband, with whom she had been in an on-and-off relationship for 20 years before they got hitched in 2013.

Since the brouhaha, Andy appears to be fully devoted to his wife, reportedly staying at home more to show his sincerity in making up to Sammi. He has also taken the initiative to request helpers to prepare her meals, as well as massaged her after a day of rehearsals for her sold-out 13-date concert at the Hongkong Coliseum. This concert is Sammi’s first public performance since the high-profile scandal.

A couple that runs together, stays together
Andy has also been accompanying Sammi to all her rehearsals and was present for the past three nights of the concerts so far. It would appear that the couple is well on their way to fixing their marriage — they were even spotted going for a run together the day before her Follow Mi concerts kicked off. “She's not angry with me anymore," Andy told reporters.

Boo!
But while the 46-year-old songstress seems to be able to let bygones be bygones, her fans are not yet ready to move on from the saga. When Andy arrived at the venue on the first day of the concert (Jul 12), he was immediately booed at by Sammi’s fans, and ignored fans and the press as he made his way into the venue.

However, the dynamic concert was not one without a few emotional moments from the singer. Before belting out her latest single, This Is How We Grow Up, Sammi, with tears flowing down her face, told the audience, “At this stage of life, I have experienced a lot… Growing up, everyone has their moments of happiness, sadness and strength. But that’s fine, because we all grew up like this”.

A Singapore construction site has reached 6 million accident-free man hours, marking a major safety milestone in one of the country’s highest-risk industries. Accident-free man hours refer to the total number of hours worked across all workers without a single injury, often used as a benchmark for workplace safety performance in construction projects. While such achievements are widely celebrated, Singapore’s construction sector continues to face challenges, with dozens of deaths and major injuries reported in 2025 alone. At the same time, improvements in worker welfare — including upgraded dormitories with better living conditions, recreational facilities, and shared spaces — are becoming a key part of the broader push towards safer worksites. #8dayssg #8dayssgtrending #singapore #sgnews #migrantworkers
