Alleged Serial Cheater Show Luo Apologises To His Ex-Girlfriend And All The Women He Has "Deceived And Disrespected" Before
Netizens are still giving him hell, though.
Yesterday (Apr 23), Chinese blogger Grace Chow sent shockwaves across the Asian entertainment scene with a Weibo post that not only confirmed her long-rumoured split from Show Luo, but included shocking allegations of cheating, one-night stands, and what she euphemised as “multi-player sports” (um, think about it in an R21 way).
In the Taiwanese singer’s initial response, which was also uploaded to Weibo a few hours later, he apologised for “taking up public resources” with his personal affairs, vowed to self-reflect on his mistakes, and thanked his ex-girlfriend for the past nine years of love.
No more celebrating birthdays together
However, it wasn’t until 5am this morning — we reckon he probably couldn’t get a wink of sleep — that he finally issued a “solemn apology” to Grace, which he did so alongside a blank, black image on Instagram... which is pretty standard “I am very sorry” behaviour on the platform.
“I would like to solemnly apologise to [Grace Chow] for this relationship. I’m sorry. I was wrong!” he wrote, tagging her account in his caption. “You have given me your all over the past nine years. It is I who couldn’t understand how to cherish this relationship and the person who loved me the most. I’ve deceived, hurt, and upset you again and again. I’ve made a lot of mistakes.”
The 40-year-old also apologised to “all the other women” he has “deceived and disrespected” in the past, which seems like an indirect admission to Grace’s claims of him inviting different girls home or to hotels.

Despite his apparent attempts to make amends, netizens aren’t quite ready to forgive Show yet. A number of netizens slammed him for wasting nine years of Grace’s youth (they started dating when she was 22), while some even questioned his sincerity and accused him of only expressing his regret after getting exposed.
Others poked fun at him and asked if he stayed up so late because he had just finished “exercising” (again, think about it in an R21 way). One cheeky follower inquired with the thinking face emoji, “Is group sex fun?”
He’s gonna need more than that to protect himself from hate now
Speaking of being mocked, some folks with a lot of free time (then again, it is a period of self-isolation) decided to dig up some old selfies of Show from 2012, which were taken at the gym, to continue the crude “exercising” joke.
Someone even made a now-viral meme with his picture and the text: “Forward this [picture of] Show Luo, who is still able to do multiplayer sports at the age of 40.”

In related news, renowned eye specialist Huang Youjia decided to weigh in on the scandal, saying that if Show had dated a Taiwanese woman instead, things wouldn’t be so bad for him now. His reasoning? “Before his ex-girlfriend were to come out with her statement, those around her would urge her to say a Buddhist prayer and let it go," said the doc.
“Men these days should not dream of being a scumbag and expect women to be brainwashed and not retaliate against them. The longer women have to put up with feeling wronged, the stronger their vengeance will be.”
Um. Okay?
