Images of Alan Tam’s godson, Hongkong singer Kelvin Kwan, performing at a food court in Hainan, China have renewed in interest in the disgraced star.

A now-viral video shows Kelvin, 38, dressed in a T-shirt and shorts and walking around a food court singing Beyond’s classic song ‘Boundless Oceans, Vast Skies'. The crowd was visibly impressed by his rendition and applauded riotously after his performance.

Now netizens are lamenting how the once-rising star has become “nothing but a street performer”, attributing his fall from grace to "a mistake he made that caused his promising career to disappear overnight".

The mistake they're referring to is his 2009 drug scandal.
