Aimee Chan's Eldest Son Hated Her Going Back To Work, He Told Her To Do A Terrible Job So She Would Get Fired
Hong Kong couple Moses Chan, 51, and Aimee Chan, 41, are finally done with filming their new TVB drama, Romeo And His Butterfly Lover.
Last Oct, Aimee, who put her acting career on the backburner for nine years to look after her three children — Aidan Joshua, eight, Nathan, seven, and Camilla, five — shared that her kids were very upset when she had to go back to work.
"They told their father to go out and work, so that mummy could stay home," laughed Aimee.
On the last day of filming, the actress told TVB Entertainment News that she "felt like crying because she was really touched."
"I went through so much, from the training to all the problems caused by COVID. But I think we really have good team spirit! It's so rare to meet a team that's filled with so much love and good vibes. I'm very touched and I can't bare to leave!" she said.
So will we be seeing more on-screen collaborations between Moses and Aimee? Or will we have to wait another 10 years considering how their last show together was 2012's The Last Steep Ascent?
According to Moses, he was apprehensive about acting with Aimee at the beginning, but is glad that everything worked out while filming the drama.
"However, from the perspective of an actor, as well as for the audience, we're still quite against doing something like that," he added.
Though Moses was full of praise for Aimee's acting, he said it's ultimately up to Aimee if she wants to officially return to showbiz.
According to Aimee, her three kids wouldn't be too happy to hear that.
Especially her eldest son, Aidan Joshua, who hated her going back to work.
"My eldest son didn't like me filming again. He even told me: "Mummy, I thought of a very good idea. When you get back to the office, you deliberately do a terrible job, then your boss would fire you. Then you don't have to go to work and you can spend time with us!"
