M’sian Complains About Light From AIA Malaysia’s Signboard Bathing His Home In Eerie Red At Night

Imagine retiring for the night, only to be greeted with your home looking like a scene out of a horror movie.

Malaysian auto dealer Dennis Tan took to Facebook last week to complain about a bright AIA neon sign at Mid Valley Southkey in Johor Bahru.

Pictures taken from Dennis’ home saw the intense red glow from the sign illuminating in the night sky.

The red light was so strong that it basked Dennis entire home in red.

“Hello AIA Midvalley JB. Your signboard is extremely bright. Very disturbing lor”, he wrote on Facebook.

Netizens quickly gave their hilarious take on Dennis’ situation, many likening the signboard to ‘Sauron’s Eye’ from the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Others commented it looked like his home was “getting ready to be raided like in the movies”.

Some even joked that Dennis’s home now looked like a cheap motel.

A netizen, however, chided him saying: “That is why people put up curtains.”

One thing’s for sure, no one can now say they have not heard about AIA or its financial services.

Since news of his predicament spread on social media, AIA Malaysia seemingly caught wind of his inconvenience and switched off the signboard last Thursday (May 30).

“Hopefully your signboard come [sic] with more peaceful and comfortable lighting,” joked Dennis.

“No more Sauron Eye Tower, no more romantic light… no more temple in my room. I can sleep in peace and happiness,” he added.

Maybe Dennis can consider reaching out to AIA to switch the lights on during Halloween?

Dennis shared he came home one day to see his entire living room awash in red.
The culprit was an AIA Malaysia neon signboard from Southkey, a nearby mall.
Many netizens have christened the harsh red light, 'Sauron's Eye' from the Lord of the Rings movies.
While others say his home now looks like a cheap motel or that a raid was about be conducted like in the movies.
It seems AIA Malaysia heard about Dennis's inconvenience and has since switched the signboard off.
