After 8 Months Of Marriage, Akira Reveals What His Wife Lin Chiling Is Really Like In Private
The Japanese popstar was asked what his missus is like when she’s angry.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have found another poster couple For Perfect Wedded Bliss (our current frontrunners at the moment are Taiwanese actress Ariel Lin and her businessman hubby ): Taiwanese model-actress Lin Chiling and Japanese singer-actor Akira.
Okay, so it’s only been about eight months since they shocked the world with their out-of-the-blue marriage announcement and three months since their highly anticipated, much-discussed wedding ceremony, but a recent interview with Akira reveals that things are off to a very good start.
Still in their honeymoon phase
For example, when asked what the gentle, kind-hearted Chiling is like when she’s mad, and who tends to give in first during a dispute, Akira replied: “Actually, we’ve almost never had any arguments before. When we disagree on something, we’re able to have a calm and clear discussion about it. I think it’s because of our personalities — we don’t react impulsively to problems.”
The 38-year-old, who is also a part of J-pop boyband Exile, went on to share that the Lin Chiling you see in public is pretty much the same as the Lin Chiling you see in private.
“I don’t think there are many things that could make her lose her temper, and so far, after over six months of marriage, I’ve never seen her get angry,” Akira continued, pausing briefly to collect his thoughts before musing, “Chiling is really such a gentle person.”
Chiling’s sweetness is the real deal
Akira also believes he and Chiling, 45, really are a match made in heaven.
“Neither of us has had to change anything about ourselves for the other; in fact, we feel like we’ve matured a lot because of this relationship,” he said. “Marriage has given me an increased sense of responsibility.”
That said, Akira acknowledged that because of his jet-setting job and back-breaking work schedule, he’s unable to spend every important occasion with his wife and family. “Then again, you should always let people know how much they mean to you; don’t wait until special days to do it.”
Wise advice
Of course, Akira wasn’t spared the questions about their plans to start a family, to which he claimed that he is not aware if Chiling is doing anything to prepare for pregnancy.
“I’ve not asked her anything about this, but I do know that she has been doing a lot more charity lately. We don’t really talk about work at home, and I know Chiling is someone who makes her own plans and has her own way of thinking, so I don’t give her my opinions or ask her what she’s supposed to do,” he said, easily defltecting casually steering away from the topic of babies, which we suppose will be a conversation for another day).
