Hong Kong singer-actor Adam Cheng recently held a concert in Hong Kong, with his daughter, singer Joyce Cheng making a special guest appearance, surprising everyone.

The father-daughter pair reached out to each other and held hands on stage, before going on to perform Adam’s song, ‘The Final Verdict’.

After the song, they exchanged kisses, before Adam jubilantly exclaimed, “My obedient daughter, [a] goddess.”

Joyce then congratulated Adam for being in the entertainment industry for 50 years, and thanked him for inviting her to his concert.

“Thank you, daddy, for inviting me here to experience the most joyous day of your life with you,” Joyce said.

The 70-year-old then replied, “[I] know you had to reject so many work schedules [to be here], [my] obedient daughter! I feel so ashamed that I was unable to help you despite having been in the showbiz for so many years. Your booming career today is all because of your own hard work, and I’m proud of you. I hope that those who support me, will start supporting my daughter as well.”

Previously, Joyce had revealed that she had run into financial trouble a few years back, surprising Adam, who did not know of his daughter’s struggles at all.

Joyce is the daughter of Adam and his first wife, Hong Kong entertainer Lydia Shum. The pair tied the knot in 1985, and divorced three years later, in 1988. Adam then married his second wife, Koon Jing Wah in 1989. They have three daughters together.
