Rumours that former Fahrenheit member Aaron Yan, 36, and ex-Choc 7 member Ah Ben (阿本) are a couple have swirled for over a decade, though they've never addressed the speculations head on.

Yesterday (June 12), Ah Ben, who just celebrated his 40th birthday, took to Facebook to express his gratitude towards Aaron. Well, Aaron and their other pal ex-Hey Girl member, Gui Gui.

“I really want to thank these two friends, for the support they’ve given me from when I was in school in my early-twenties and when I became a Bang Bang Tang boy, until I graduated, entered showbiz and then went behind-the-scenes. It’s been almost 20 years,” said Ah Ben, who revealed that he now works as a manager at an animation company.

“[I] rarely talk about such things, but [I] really want to thank these two for being there for me from my youth until menopause,” he joked.

Rumours that Ah Ben and Aaron were an item started back in 2009 when they shot Taiwanese drama Tao Hua Love Conquers All together with Gui Gui.

(P/S: The drama was later cancelled and reshot as Momo Love (Tao Hua Xiao Mei) which starred Aaron's Fahrenheit bandmate
Jiro Wang and Cyndi Wang.)

At that time, Aaron and Ah Ben were often spotted together, with the latter seen visiting Aaron at home regularly.

Then in 2014, Ah Ben suddenly revealed on Facebook that he’s “a single person”. He also asked for "some hope, some strength and some courage to move into a new life," sparking rumours that he and Aaron have "broken up".

In 2020, Aaron also revealed on talk show Zhen Xiang Ba! Hua Hua Wan Wu, which is hosted by Dee Hsu and Kevin Tsai, that he and Ah Ben "were once very very close, but are now just normal friends."
