It’s been three years since Taiwanese actor Ma Jingtao (also known as Steve Ma) filed for divorce from his second wife, Chinese actress Wu Jiani, but for some reason, dramatic new rumours about the split have surfaced online.

Recently, a netizen claiming to be “Wu Jiani’s mother’s colleague’s daughter” exposed the supposed real reason the former couple decided to call it quits on their decade-long marriage. “Ma Jingtao is a person of bad character,” read the post. “He always asks his father-in-law for money.”

In other words, the 58-year-old was accused of living off his wife's family, and that was why his relationship failed.
