15-Year-Old Chinese Child Star Says He’s 1.83m Tall 'Cos His Mum Made Him Drink A Litre Of Milk Every Day

Okay, so this particular ship has long sailed for many of us, but for those who are still growing… or hope to grow taller in the future, here’s a handy tip that this Chinese child star swears by.
Rong Zi Shan, who made his acting debut at nine, is 15 this year, but he’s already 1.83m tall. And will probably grow even taller.
Heads (and shoulders) taller
Here’s a recent picture he took with former Chinese gymnast Li Ning, 58.
Li Ning, who's the founder of his eponymous sportswear brand, stands at 1.64m.
Heightened interest
In case you're wondering, Zi Shan’s height isn't genetic.
He recently shared that his mum sought medical advice from a doctor when he was younger as she was worried that he would grow up to be really short since both she and Zi Shan’s dad were only of “average height”.
At that time, the doctor had predicted that Zi Shan would grow up to be 1.74m tall at most, which, if you ask us, is a perfectly normal height for guys. But it apparently wasn't good enough for Mama Rao.
So, to ensure that her son grows up tall, she made him drink a litre of fresh milk every day. She also made sure he got 12 hours of sleep daily.
Zi Shan also started playing basketball and stopped eating snacks and food that contained a lot of sugar.
Her goal was that he grow up to be 1.85m tall and not a centimetre more as she believed that being too tall would limit the types of roles he could get in the future.
And apparently, his mum's methods worked 'cos the teen towers over everyone in his class now.
Of course, he plays basketball too
