14 Local Artistes Join Forces For Multilingual Song, Encouraging Singaporeans To #StayHome During COVID-19 Circuit Breaker

Aisyah Aziz, Charlie Lim, and Tosh Zhang are some of the singers that lent their voices to ‘Stay Home’.

Following JJ Neo’s co-written song 'The Light', 14 local artistes have come together for yet another COVID-19-inspired single to encourage Singaporeans to stay home during the circuit breaker period.

Aptly titled ‘Stay Home’, the multilingual single, released by Universal Music Singapore, is performed in a mix of English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil, and features the vocals Charlie Lim, Yung Raja, Fariz Jabba, ShiGGa Shay, Alif, ABANGSAPAU, Tosh Rock, Iman, Aisyah Aziz, Shye, Zadon, YAØ, Hashy and Dee Kosh, who walked the talk by recording the song and music video in their own homes.

Inspired by and in collaboration with Malaysia's ‘#JanganKeluar, a single in response to the country's movement control order, ‘Stay Home’ has been injected with local elements to appeal to the local audience and performed in the nation’s four official languages to celebrate our diversity. Featuring lyrics that rally listeners to stay strong during the trying period, the song conveys a powerful message that social distancing does not mean emotional distancing, says Universal Music.

Written and produced in just 11 days, you can catch the song on Mediacorp radio stations 987, Class 95, YES 933, Oli 968 and Ria 897, and meLISTEN. It is also available on streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music, while the music video, which showcases how the artists have been keeping busy at home, is on YouTube.
