When we arrive at the charming semi-detached house along Paya Lebar Road, the sun hangs low in the sky, casting a golden glow over the raised wooden deck above the garden. Our chef for the evening, 36-year-old Lee Yum Hwa, pads out from the outdoor kitchen at the back of the house, brimming with energy and good humour.
