Ex-Artichoke Chef Serves Handmade Pasta Like An Italian Nonna From His Parents' House
Private diner Ben Fatto 95 offers hearty four-course meals from $60.
When we arrive at the charming semi-detached house along Paya Lebar Road, the sun hangs low in the sky, casting a golden glow over the raised wooden deck above the garden. Our chef for the evening, 36-year-old Lee Yum Hwa, pads out from the outdoor kitchen at the back of the house, brimming with energy and good humour. He’s been stoking the charcoal fire on an impressive grill which he put together using cinder blocks, toasting chunks of homemade sourdough that will be the start to our dinner.
