Uncle Fong Hotpot Restaurant is a Chongqing-style hotpot chain in Hong Kong and China that has apparently been attracting queues as well as famous customers. Interestingly, it’s founded by the Fujian-born entrepreneur (now a Singaporean citizen) behind popular home-grown Chinese restaurant chain Putien, whose original Kitchener Road outlet boasts a Michelin star.

The first Singapore outlet of Uncle Fong Hotpot is an 80-seater that opens on April 26 at Great World shopping mall (formerly known as Great World City). The chain has ten other outlets across China and Hong Kong.
