Cheryl’s festive centerpiece this year is the elegant Framboisier, a traditional French layered cake built around fresh raspberries. It’s made with vanilla sponge, crème mousseline, and raspberry jam, then completely covered in fresh, plump berries. Elegant and quite tasty, plus the fruit helps cut some of the dessert’s sweetness.

2. Noël at the Gallery by Odette, from $148 (feeds 6-8 pax), Odette

This sculptural creation is created to mark the 10th anniversary of both Odette and the National Gallery Singapore. Designed by the three-Michelin-starred restaurant’s head pastry chef Louisa Lim and shaped after the Gallery’s iconic façade, it has a handcrafted gianduja shell made with Valrhona 70% Guanaja dark chocolate, filled with Vanuatu vanilla parfait, coffee–hazelnut praline, and a layer of Piedmont hazelnut feuilletine for added crunch. Stunning — even if we didn’t get to try this. Sob.

3. Panettone Ispahan, $48 (feeds 2-4 pax), Pierre Hermé (8 Days Pick!)

Ispahan, arguably one of the famous French pastry chef’s most iconic flavour creations, is an elegant blend of raspberry, lychee and rose. This panettone perfectly encapsulates the essence of the Ispahan with rose-scented brioche dough studded with tangy dried raspberry and lychee bits, and dotted with gooey pockets of rose-flavoured almond paste. Its crumb is beautifully feathery, rich and buttery. Finished with a sprinkle of crunchy pearl sugar and slivered almonds. So good you can eat it on its own – we can’t recommend this enough.

4. Yule Log Mont Blanc, from $12 (feeds 1 pax), Pierre Hermé

Another offering from the pastry maestro. This Yule Log Mont Blanc brings together a chestnut Breton shortbread base with layers of candied chestnut cream, rosehip compote, and chestnut vermicelli. It’s available as an individual portion or as sharing size logs for four ($60) or eight ($100). For something that’s a sure-fire crowd-pleaser, get Pierre Hermé’s macarons. Prices start from $32 for eight pcs.

5. Signature Croissant Log Cake, $14 (feeds 1-2 pax), Bacha Coffee

Ever heard of a croissant-inspired log cake? Bacha Coffee’s Signature Croissant Log Cake is a convenient treat if you’re craving a little festive indulgence — great for one, or two if you’re willing to share. It sits on a crisp croffle base and features layers of milk chocolate and roasted hazelnuts, infused with the brand’s nutty Happy Gianduja Coffee blend. A bittersweet grownup treat that’s rather cute.

With all the hype around Dubai Chocolate — that viral pistachio and kunafa dessert — it’s no surprise the flavour combo made it onto our Christmas sweets list. This 500g tart from Goodwood Park Hotel features a chocolate sugar dough crust filled with caramelised pistachios, white chocolate, and roasted kunafa. It’s layered with pastry cream, chocolate cream cheese, and chocolate ganache, then topped with finely ground pistachios.

7. Aburi Christmas Sushi Log Cake, $58.90 (feeds 4-6 pax), RE&S

If you’re looking for something different, RE&S’s Aburi Christmas Sushi Log Cake has your name on it. It’s rolled with layers of turkey ham, smoked chicken cheese arabiki sausage, gammon ham, cheese, and egg, all wrapped in sushi rice and glazed with torched mentaiko sauce. Good for those who don’t have a sweet tooth.

8. MSW Durian Puff Christmas Tree, $98 (15 pieces), Home’s Favourite

For those who can’t resist the pongy fruit at all seasons, get this 800g Christmas ‘tree’ made up of 15 cream puffs filled with the brand’s pure Mao Shan Wang durian puree. Just remember the mouth wash if you’re eating this at a party.

This adorable 7-inch cake from Janice Wong is shaped to resemble a knitted winter hat, finished with a textured white exterior and a red “pom-pom” on top. Inside, the layers include hazelnut mousse, Earl Grey mousse, mixed berry crémeux, blackcurrant compote, hazelnut sponge and a hazelnut crumble cookie base.

Creme Maison Bakery’s Ralphie Christmas Tree Cake is about as on-theme as it gets. The five-inch Belgian chocolate fudge cake is shaped like a Christmas tree and decorated with green buttercream piping, gold pearls, snowflake accents, and comes topped with a gold star candle plus a small toy reindeer.
