What to expect
At its Taiwanese branches, Moon Moon Food serves Chinese-style food cooked with fresh local ingredients like free-range chickens, oysters and Hualien chilli peppers.
It is particularly well-known for soup, with options like Green Chilli Peppers with Chicken, Sea Bass & Clams and Chicken with Garlic Cloves.

You are meant to pair your soup main with a range of a la carte braised side dishes, like tofu, kombu and mushrooms, as well as other side dish picks like stir-fried oysters and steamed fish.

What is also interesting about Moon Moon Food is that their carb options are equally well-loved. It is known for its lu rou fan (braised pork rice), scallion noodles and shallot oil rice.
