Tai Cheong Bakery Opening New Outlet At Bukit Panjang
It currently has one other outlet in the west.
Good news for fans of Tai Cheong Bakery — the Hong Kong egg tart chain is opening its seventh outlet at Bukit Panjang Plaza. According to Tai Cheong’s announcement on its social media, the branch is slated to open “in a couple of weeks”.
Likely to be takeaway-only
Currently, only three of Tai Cheong outlets have dine-in seats, at Holland Village, Changi Airport Terminal 3 and Takashimaya (the latter a stall serving hot food within the basement food court).
But the Bukit Panjang Plaza outlet, located near the FairPrice Finest supermarket, is likely to be a takeaway-only kiosk, as the same unit was previously occupied by takeaway pizza chain Pezzo and burrito joint Superitto. In August this year, the bakery also quietly opened an outlet at Holland Piazza (pictured), just steps away from its very first Singapore outlet at Holland Village’s Lorong Liput.
Expect egg tarts, of course

Other than egg tarts, the takeaway bakery offers a selection of Hong Kong-style pastries like Durian & Cheese Tart ($3.90), Chicken Pie ($3), and Char Siew Pie ($3.50). We have reached out to Tai Cheong Bakery for more information on the new outlet’s opening.
