French Bistro Summer Hill Closing At Clementi, Will Offer Takeaway From Orchard Towers
The cosy eatery by chef Anthony Yeoh is closing after four years at Sunset Way — but it’s not goodbye forever.
Summer Hill, the humble French bistro run by chef Anthony Yeoh (former executive chef of French restaurant Cocotte), will be closing its doors on January 23 after a four-year run at its charmingly off-the-beaten-track digs under an HDB block in Sunset Way.
The good news? It’s not sayonara forever, as the search for a new home is already underway – though where that home will be and when the restaurant can reopen remains up in the air for now, says the eatery’s 40-year-old towkay.
Which brings us to our next bit of good news – starting February 2, Summer Hill will dish out their convivial, rib-sticking modern French fare – think Wagyu Beef Bourguignon or Roast Chicken – for takeaway and delivery from a cloud kitchen facility in Orchard Towers. Yes, that Orchard Towers.
