Seven 'Shophouse Restaurants' Under One Roof At This Stylo-Mylo Eatery at Andaz Hotel
Alley on 25 is housed at the sleek new Andaz Hotel by the Hyatt Hotels Group.
The Hyatt group has brought its Andaz brand of luxury boutique hotels to Singapore, and with it, Alley on 25, a chic dining enclave on the 25th floor of the property. It houses seven different restaurant concepts and its unique look is inspired by the shophouses at Kampong Glam.
You pay your bill at each ‘mini restaurant’ (which looks like a fancier hotel buffet food station). Each joint offers a unique type of cuisine in a space decked out like a shophouse food ‘alley’, hence the moniker.
It’s designed by the same guy who also did Fullerton Bay Hotel’s interiors.
Silken Ma Po Tofu ($30)
There’s a wide range of grub here, like Silken Ma Po Tofu ($30) with Alaskan King Crab from haute zi char ‘restaurant’ Auntie’s Wok & Steam.
If it’s a tipple you’re after, head to cheerful ‘bistro’ Icehaus, which offers local beer like Singapore Blonde Ale ($14 for a draught) brewed by the local Archipelago Brewery, and the non-alcoholic Andaz Pop ($10), a gula melaka-coconut popsicle by local celeb chef Bjorn Shen’s Neh Neh Pop brand.
Other than Icehaus’ pastries from Tiong Bahru Bakery and popsicles, all the food here is cooked in-house. Think a really cool, atas all-day hotel diner.
