Popular Hokkaido Soft Serve Shop Naganuma Ice Opens First Singapore Outlet At Tanjong Pagar

Its outlets supposedly have queues of up to an hour.

Not into the bubble tea craze? Here is another sweet treat you might like instead — Hokkaido soft serve ice cream. Naganuma Ice Co, a Hokkaido F&B company specialising in milky soft serve ice cream, is opening its first Singapore takeaway outlet next month at Carlton City Hotel. While the specific date is not confirmed, the brand's rep tells us they will be announcing the opening date on their social media platforms.

Naganuma Ice is the only Hokkaido company that’s certified by the prefecture’s authorities to use raw Hokkaido milk in their products. Raw milk is said to have better flavour and is more nutritious than your average supermarket pasteurised milk (which is sterilised using a high heating process). Naganuma Ice’s raw milk is squeezed from cows living on a ranch near the town of Naganuma, and transported immediately to their factory to be pasteurised at a low temperature.

The brand has three stores in its native Hokkaido and three in Taiwan, which all draw queues of up to an hour. Their soft serve is made with pure Hokkaido raw milk and eggs.
