Step aside, Yoshinoya, and say hello to Sukiya (not to be confused with Suki-ya, a local Japanese hotpot eatery). It’s also a quick-service beef rice bowl chain that originated in Japan in 1982. It currently boasts more than 2,000 outlets in Japan alone. The gyudon chain also has a presence in eight other countries like Malaysia and Hong Kong. It’s opening its first outlet in Singapore at Suntec City soon — the date is unconfirmed.
