End Of An Era: McDonald’s Lucky Plaza Closes After 34 Years
The fast food outlet was a familiar sight at the old-school Orchard Road mall.
No reason was given for the closure, though we have noticed the chain’s gradually decreasing presence at the mall.
A McDonald’s Dessert Kiosk at the main entrance closed a few years back, followed by the restaurant itself this year.
There are still other nearby outlets along Orchard Road, at Shaw House, Forum Galleria, Cineleisure and Plaza Singapura.
8days.sg has reached out to McDonald’s to enquire about the closure reason.

We’ve had the pleasure and privilege of serving customers – and creating many warm memories - at our Lucky Plaza restaurant over the past 34 years."
