McDonald’s Launches Its First-Ever Savoury Chicken Pie

We dig into one and tell you whether it’s good.

Dessert pies like apple and chocolate from McDonald’s are nothing new — but savoury pies from the brand with the golden arches are rare. So we were pretty excited about its latest addition to the menu: the Creamy Herb Chicken Pie (from $1.80 each). The fast food chain has launched this snack as a “sidekick” to accompany the return of its popular Samurai burger. And it’s different from the usual McDonald’s pie — the typical crusty, crackly fried shell is replaced with a flakier spiral crust. It's stuffed with a creamy filling of potatoes, onions, mushrooms and carrots.
