McDonald's New Coffee Milk Tea Ice Cream Taste Test: Nice Or Not?
We tried the fast food chain’s yuan yang-inspired dessert range.
McDonald’s launched a new ice cream flavour today that’s inspired by a Hong Kong cha chaan teng favourite: Coffee Milk Tea (aka ‘yuan yang’ in Chinese). This is a quirky drink that simply blends milky HK-style coffee with tea to form a surprisingly tasty, well-balanced cuppa. At the fast food chain, the beloved beverage gets a McMakeover, and is now available as a McDonald’s soft serve cone, hot fudge sundae and McFlurry.
Now, McDonald’s has had some hits and misses in its dessert line-up (yasss to Hershey’s Chocolate soft serve, but meh to its recent Popcorn Caramel range). Still, this latest offering sounds very promising, so here we go...
