McDonald’s Chicken McCrispy Comeback Draws Queue, But Not At This Branch
We manage to avoid the crowd at this outlet.
From 1998 to 2002, McDonald’s Chicken McCrispy enjoyed a popular run in Singapore. The fast food chain’s proprietary fried chicken had two superhero mascots, Flash Fry and Steam Marinate. The superheroes’ not-so-subtle names referred to how the chicken drumsticks and thighs were first steam-marinated, then flash-fried till crispy.
But McDonald’s unexpectedly removed the fried chook from its menu, replacing it with the (more inferior, we think) McWings.
