MasterChef Asia Winner’s Restaurant Ibid Spammed With 1-Star Google Reviews By Suspected Scammer

MasterChef Asia’s 2015 inaugural winner Woo Wai Leong, 37, chef-owner of Restaurant Ibid, took to Instagram stories to reveal that his fine-diner has been the target of what appears to be an influx of allegedly fake negative Google reviews. The flurry of one-star ratings were soon followed by WhatsApp messages from an overseas number claiming someone had paid them to post 300 bad reviews.

Ibid, which opened in 2017 on North Canal Road, serves modern European cuisine with Asian flourishes. 8days.sg reached out to the lawyer-turned-chef to find out more.
