Famed 100-year-old Hong Kong bakery Hang Heung opens its first Singapore outlet today (Aug 28). It unexpectedly announced this afternoon on its Facebook page that its soft opening was happening at 3pm. It officially opens tomorrow (Aug 29) at 11am.

The takeaway shop at Ion Orchard’s Basement 4 will sell the brand’s most popular offerings, including lao po bing (wife biscuits), red bean paste cakes, mung bean cakes and egg rolls. The kiosk is located opposite new Hong Kong-style cha chaan teng Joy Luck Teahouse, which also officially opened today.
