Les Amis Group Opening Casual Sukiyaki Joint Sukiyakijin With A ‘Mountain’ Of Wagyu For $45
Taking over tempura joint Tenjin’s space at level one of Shaw Centre is Les Amis Group’s’ new sukiyaki concept, Sukiyakijin, opening on 2 May. Tenjin will relocate to a smaller space on level 3.
We’re told the new 60-seat sukiyaki joint has a casual vibe with warm wood tones and lantern lamps.

The eatery serves a ‘mountain’ of A5 wagyu sukiyaki, served in a sauce that coats the meat.
The menu is kept simple with only two main items: the Signature Tomato Sukiyaki ($48/pax), a tangier blend with four types of shoyu, served with udon or cheese risotto, plus chilli padi on the side for those who want an extra kick, and the Original Sukiyaki ($45/pax) made with Tamari Shoyu from Nagoya and served with udon or rice.
Both sets come with 200g of A5 wagyu from various prefectures in Japan. Diners can cook the beef to their preferred doneness, with simple instructions provided — so fret not if you’re not the most kitchen-savvy.
So far so good. The catch? Each order requires a minimum of two portions. Meaning solo diners can only come by if they’re willing to eat for two pax.
Add-ons include 100g A5 Wagyu ($38), a pasteurised Japanese raw egg ($2), and vegetables ($2).
