This Killiney Kopitiam Outlet Offers Wine, Gin & Beer With Kaya Toast

This Killiney outlet is decorated more like a cosy bistro than your typical shopping mall kaya toast joint, thanks to woody accents and furniture, faux white brick walls, mood lighting and a glowing Tiger Beer signage.

Killiney Kopitiam by day, bistro by night

By day, the eatery functions almost like a standard kopitiam with local faves like Kaya Toast ($3), Soft-boiled Eggs ($2 for two) and Kopi ($2). Lunch items such as Curry Chicken ($8.50) and Mee Siam ($5.20) are served too.

We say almost, because booze is available here all day as well. So you can order a draft beer (from $9) or Gin & Tonic ($18) to wash down that breakfast kaya toast if you wish. Wines are sold by the bottle ($45).

Note that coffee and toast (which is self-service) are available till 5pm — the menu transitions thereafter into bistro fare (when you get to enjoy table service) for dinner, with “Singapore-inspired original creations” like Bak Kwa Pizza ($20), Sambal Stingray ($29 to $40, depending on size) and Salted Egg Soft Shell Crab Spaghetti ($18). Bar bites such as Har Cheong Gai ($14) and Satay ($14 for ten sticks) are also on offer.
