KFC Singapore Launching Crispy Chicken Skin, Minus The Meat
Available from November 11.
For those of you who think that the best part of a fried chicken is its flavour-packed skin (well, it is), get excited: KFC Singapore will be offering a new Chicken Skin snack so you can chow down on its crunchy goodness without interference from any meat. Ah, no need to ration the precious skin on our chook anymore.
KFC Indonesia offered it first
KFC Indonesia was the first to launch the decadent Chicken Skin earlier this May, with a small packet of it retailing at RP 13,636 (S$1.30). As for its online reviews, comments ranged from "It's really crisp and crunchy! I'll definitely order it again as a snack" to the fact that its texture was “different” from the skin on normal fried chicken and that they “prefer to buy the chicken, then eat the skin directly from there” (as reported by The Sun and Food Network). The snack was sold at only six outlets in Indonesia.

Finally available in Singapore
Now, we finally get to try KFC’s Chicken Skin ($3.50), coming to Singapore for the first time on Nov 11. The snack will only be available at 20 KFC outlets across Singapore. And according to KFC’s PR rep, the SG portions will be bigger than those offered in Indonesia. Look out for our taste test soon.
