FuFu Pot offers a version of hotpot for solo diners.

With the current two pax cap for dining in at restaurants, FuFu Pot, which specialises in hotpot for one, is a new place to consider for your next solo meal.

It will open its doors on October 8 at Plaza Singapore. Now, FuFu doesn’t do hotpot as you typically know it — you don’t order raw meat and veg before cooking it yourself in your soup base of choice. Instead, ingredients are curated with each of the eight different soups, with the entire affair served fully-cooked and bubbling merrily in a pot that stays hot thanks to a heating element beneath it (think food-court style mini wok soups).

The soups draw inspiration from flavours across Asia – ranging from chicken-and-pork-based Collagen (popular in Taiwan and Japan), to Taiwanese-style Stinky Tofu, Korean Army Stew and Sichuan Mala.

The casual restaurant is another concept by OUE Restaurants, whose portfolio includes the likes of modern Japanese fine-diner Takayama and grill-focused rooftop restaurant VUE.
