A Good Morning Towel Roll Cake Now Exists

The towel gets another iteration this year, in the form of a white chocolate roll cake by Hong Kong eatery Wostreet. The 11cm-long Real Towel Cake, which is stuffed with fresh cream, is a collaboration with Cantonese language activist group Societas Linguistica Hongkongensis and costs HK$78 (S$13.50) each on SLH’s website.

The cake retains all the details of the real towel, down to the classic “Good Morning” greeting stamped with red dye to the splotchy blue border.

According to Wostreet’s Instagram post, the dessert is “inspired by the towel familiar to Hong Kongers” and it’s “waiting for you to encourage your friends and family during these uncertain times”.

Unfortunately, the Real Towel Cake is not available in Singapore. But we’re waiting for a local patisserie to do a version of it.
