Samjin Amook is a popular fishcake chain from Busan, and it helped modernise the traditional Korean street snack. This takeaway store at Ion Orchard is the first outside of Korea. The franchise was brought in by the Bee Cheng Hiang folks. The shop offers about 40 types of Korean fishcakes made with Alaskan Pollock and Threadfin Bream. The cakes are prepared various ways, including crispy croquette-style (pictured) where they're stuffed with goodies like cheese, coated in bread crumbs and fried till golden-brown.
