One common grouse about Dona Manis Cake Shop is that the old-school Katong bakery is so freaking far, unless you live in the east side. The good news is that you can still enjoy its famous banana pie without travelling all the way to the east.

Jurong pop-up
Last October, Dona Manis held its first-ever pop-up at Takashimaya, which was apparently a sign of more pop-ups to come. For CNY 2025, the bakery has set up a booth at Jurong Point’s festive food fair from now till this Sunday (Jan 26).

Whole pies available
Like the Takashimaya pop-up, customers can buy Dona Manis’s Signature Banana Pie by the slice ($5.50 each, two slices for $10), or whole ($40). Each pie yields eight to 10 slices.

Pre-ordering via phone or social media DMs is encouraged, as the Jurong booth only stocks a limited number of pies that are baked at the Katong flagship daily and transported over (we saw a customer leaving a comment on Dona Manis’s Instagram ordering six pies, so chope yours early to avoid disappointment).

There are also other signature bakes like Lime Curd Tarts ($8 for four) made with fragrant kaffir limes, Rum Balls ($5 for two), and Banana Chocolate Cake Loaf ($15).

CNY goodies
Other than its usual pastries, Dona Manis is also offering house-made festive goodies at its Jurong pop-up.

This includes traditional flower-shaped Pineapple Tarts ($20 a box), Love Letters ($20 a tin) and the fancier-looking Pineapple-Shaped Pies ($28 for 10) as well as Auspicious Bangkit ($28 a box) and eggless Longevity Peaches tarts ($28 a box).

For selected CNY tidbits, there is a promo price of two boxes for $55, and four for $100.
Dona Manis Cake Shop’s pop-up is at Jurong Point L1 Atrium CNY Fair (beside Subway restaurant) from now till Jan 26. Open daily 11am-9pm. For preorders, call Katong flagship outlet at 6440-7688. Facebook, Instagram
