Don Don Donki, Bubble Tea Shops Remain Open From Apr 7 To May 4
The rules of safe distancing still apply.
From tomorrow (April 7) till May 4, Singapore will be subjected to some of the strictest safe distancing measures by the government to date. The “circuit breakers”, which are introduced to reduce the spread of Covid-19 here, will see the temporary closure of most workplaces and businesses that are not deemed “essential services”.
So what are essential services? According to the official guidelines, these include supermarkets, wet markets, eateries, healthcare, government services, transport, utilities and banking. Selected shops like pharmacies, convenience stores and opticians will also stay open (but not Ikea, ’cos most folks won’t need a table or chair or even meatballs that urgently). Meanwhile, the eateries that are open will offer only takeaway service (no dining in allowed).
