Cute Thai Toast Cafe In Wisma Serves Thick Slices Heaped With Thai Tea, Taro & Kaya Custard
The sibling eatery of Crazy Rich Thai Cafe is all about bread. It serves a savoury option of tom yum pork floss toast, too.
When we think of Thai fusion eatery Crazy Rich Thai Cafe in Paragon, good cha yen (iced milk tea) and its 2D comic book-esque decor awash in turquoise come to mind. Now, there’s an equally colourful sister outlet named Crazy Rich Thai Toast in Wisma Atria, serving a simpler, menu of fun Thai-style thick toast sets and boat noodles.
The 44-seat self-service joint may have a more limited menu than its sibling cafe, but it’s also has more affordable mains priced under $10. It’s owned by JLogo – the same group behind cha chaan teng Central Hong Kong Cafe and now-defunct Greyhound Cafe (formerly at Paragon).

Crazy Rich Thai Toast’s decor mirrors Crazy Rich Thai Cafe’s – half the cafe is adorned with whimsical black-and-white comic-strip illustrations, while the other half is painted a Tiffany-esque turquoise.

While Crazy Rich Thai Cafe serves dishes like Amerithai (Thai breakfast omelette with krapow and garlic toast) and Bullion Lobster Tom Yum Noodles, Crazy Rich Thai specialises in six types of hearty toast offerings.
Why did the Crazy Rich Thai group decide to open a toast-centric outlet this time? “There’s a lack of this kind of Thai café concept in Singapore”, their spokesperson tells 8days.sg.
Taro Coconut Toast
Dessert toasts feature three types of house-made custard: Thai Tea Custard Toast ($7), Taro Coconut Toast ($7) and Pandan Coconut Toast ($7), also known as Sangkhaya (think Thai kaya). Though made with similar ingredients of pandan, coconut, milk and eggs, sangkhaya is silkier, glossier, more pudding-like and lemak compared to our local kaya.
Boat noodles offered here
If you’re craving something heartier, the cafe also serves boat noodles ranging from $8.50 to $9.50, with beef, pork, chicken and seafood meat options.
Though Crazy Rich Thai’s spokesperson says business hasn’t been the best lately, they have plans to grow the brand: “Business is ok but can always be better – Orchard Road is significantly quieter on weekdays, there is also an overwhelming number of F&B eateries in Singapore, all vying for a very small pie. But we’ll expand whenever there is a right location,” she says.
