Daifuku is a traditional dessert from Japan which is typically given as a gift for special occasions (its name means ‘great luck’ in Japanese). It’s usually made with red bean paste (anzo) wrapped in a chewy layer of mochi skin, though you can also find mod versions with fillings like fresh fruits and whipped cream.
